Ruben Studdard was named in a lawsuit after French fashion house Louis Vuitton sued over unauthorized use of their logo. The fashion house won an undisclosed sum after battling the Studdard’s label SonyBMG for five years over the unauthorized use of the logo on cars, jackets and other materials featured in music videos and album covers. As part of the settlement, Studdard’s “The Return” album was pulled from shelves. The label was also told that it may not import, distribute, or manufacture the album either.
