Michael Jackson heads the list of entertainers sued in the last year. A video director recently sued the pop star for allegedly not paying royalties. John Landis, the acclaimed director who co-wrote the video and shot “thriller,” says Jackson failed to pay him royalties for the project for the past four years. The suit comes as “Thriller” heads to Broadway.

In November of last year Jackson was sued by the king of Bahrain for not fulfilling an agreement. Bankim Thanki, the lawyer representing Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Khalifa, told London's High Court that his client had made several payments to Jackson from 2005 onwards, including $35,000 to pay utility bills at Jackson's Neverland Ranch.
