Congratulations to Keri Hilson for winning Singersroom's 2011 Next Diva Competition presented by Pantene. A huge Thank You to all the ARTISTS, FANS and READERS who participated. Next Diva is about showcasing 25 women who are unique, creative, fashionable and most importantly, true to their craft. We only hope that we have done our job so the world can get to know this talented group.

K. Michelle is a blunt , honest and a true musician that knows exactly what she wants and says it exactly how she wants it. K. Michelle is the only feature on R. Kelly’s "Love Letter" album and that speaks volumes. Her real to life lyrics and mind blowing vocals paint a picture of a woman in pain. Being compared to artists such as Mary J. Blige and Keyshia Cole, K. Michelle has been able to pay respect to these artists but keep her own identity and prove herself as a dynamic artists. She is truly a superstar.

"Even when I was young, I always would tell my mom, “I'm a superstar. I'm a superstar. I'm going to sing. I'm going to be a singer.” My mom would always tell me, “You have to have Plan B.” And I was like, “No, no, no, no, no, no! This is what I'm going to do.” Even though I considered a Plan B, but just watching Whitney Houston made me even more confirmed. I know she sang for the troops — she did that concert live — and I can still remember her with her yellow satin jumpsuit on. I knew every hand move, every breath, everything that she did through that whole show — I watched it over and over again. That also emphasized more that this is what I'm going to do."
