Hip Hop News: Lil Wayne and Ja Rule Arrested in New York

Hip hop artists Lil Wayne and Ja Rule were arrested Sunday (Jul. 22) evening after a Hot 97 sponsored concert at Manhattan’s Beacon Theater on charges of criminal possession of weapons, each in separate incidents, a New York Police Department spokesman told CNN.
According to officers, they pulled over a luxury car with Ja Rule and two others inside. Police say they recovered a .40-caliber pistol from the vehicle.
Lil Wayne however, was arrested about an hour later, in a separate incident, after police say the caught him and another man smoking marijuana. They also the rapper was found carrying a .40-caliber pistol.
31-year-old Jeffrey Atkins, better known as Ja Rule was last busted in 2004 for marijuana possession and driving without a license.
24-year-old Lil' Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Carter is also no stranger to trouble. He was arrested last August for marijuana possession and possession of a controlled substance.
Lil Wayne and Ja Rule are both are platinum-selling rap artists.

I know lil wayne (Dwayne) personally and I know everything that happened..... I am his cousin..... Sure I am a little disapointed but of course I still love him!!!!! My aunt (dwayne/lil wayne's mother) he loved her more than anything in the entire world. And him and his mother got into an awful fight one night and they didn't make up that night. That night she/auntie died..... He knew that they should have made up but he felt sooooo bad because he didn't say "I love you" to her that night..... So the next week he was so depressed that he shot himself in the chest and it almost killed him..... I love my cousin..... more than anyone in the world could ever imagine. I know that he would NEVER purposely hurt some one. Please believe me he is my own flesh and blood..... he is my hero, my role model, and he should not be anywhere nere a freakin' jail cell right now!!!!! I LOVE HIM!!!!!

Its not a big deal they'll both will probably get off but in the end it doesn't matter. You have to tell one of your kids that I got arrested for something that you would probably never want them to be doing. Lil Wayne and Ja rule are leaders and fathers so you just gotta make smarter decisions.
