Ciara Insists "I Wasn't Nude," Disappointed With Vibe Editor

Setting the record straight from the set of her "Go Girl" video shoot , Ciara says "I was upset that when I saw the photos, everything was gone," referring to the controversial and much-talked-about October 2008 issue of Vibe Magazine.
Admitting that she was upset with the magazine, Ciara made it clear through MTV that she has no intention to file suit against the magazine despite what Vibe Editor Danyel Smith said about the shoot.
"I think, at this point, I'd rather just be quiet about things such as
that but I definitely want to make it clear that I was going in to do
something artistic."
Addressing Vibe Editor Danyel Smith's recent on-air statement through KISS FM that the 'nude shot' was Ciara's idea, the "Fantasy Ride" singer says "when I saw the photos, I was a little bothered because the photos
appear as if I was nude, and I wasn't nude. I reached out to [Smith] -
I sent her a letter - and I was a little upset, too, in the fact that
she didn't respond to me, and that happened prior to me reading her
quote on the Internet. That definitely bothered me, just because of the
fact that I wasn't nude.
No matter what is said from here on out, Ciara says she knows the real deal. "I know what was there, I know what was taken, and I know what was
done. And then to look at the book and go, 'It's gone' - it was just
very upsetting to me," she said.
Moving forward, the singer has wrapped up the video shoot for her first single "Go Girl" featuring T-Pain which should hit video outlets soon.
Ciara's third studio album "Fantasy Ride" is due in stores later this year.
seems to be all quiet on the CiCi front..the Vibe cover thing's kind of died down......

She took the pics, because Vibe don't need to take naked pics of Ciara to sell their magazines at all, personally I think the pics are nice, but she didn't have to that to sell herself. She's just catching hell from her parents about her image, and now she's saying she didn't take the pics, she should women up and bite the bullet, because if she didn't take the pics she would be sueing the hell out of Vibe, and that's real talk.

i I use AdobePhotoshop 2.0 elements on several occasions and if one takes a real-close high intensity magnification of Ciara's poses, one could see some intentional made arch-type marks on the body, suggesting some kind of photo manipulation of the subject..if this indeed is the case that the Ciara's photos are somewhat digitally altered in ANY way- than she has the right to be upset and pursue any legal action- especially if it was'nt mutually agreed upon by both parties before the shot.

Celebrities kill me when they take a photo or are seen doing something and later wants to put the blame on everybody else but themselves once the media gets a hold of it or once they realize that the public doesnt aprove. I really doubt that VIBE Mag would just go against Ciara and "take away" whatever it was she was wearing to make it seem as if she was naked. I think she took the nude pics thinking they would be hot and she would be seen as a mature adult but it back fired and now she cant take the heat. The pics WERE distastful but she made a mistake, like all human beings do so she needs to just take the blame and get over it because at the end of the day she will still make hit songs and have loyal fans and she will definatly still make money......Just my opinion ;-)

Ciara has every right to voice her opinion and disappointment about the photo shoot just like the Vibe editor went on radio dissing her, yet refuses to respond to Ciara's letter. I believe Vibe crossed the line and exploited the suggestive nudity of the shoot to make it appear to be more than what it was in order to garner more sales.

I don't think Ciara should let vibe get away with what they did she should sue; it could have ruined her career just from that one picture.
