Ne-Yo has one 'Miss Independent' and that special lady is mom.
According to USA Today, Ne-Yo's mom inspired his life so much that his current single "Miss Independent" is based off of her.
"She is the strongest woman on the face of the planet. I’ve seen her go through unimaginable obstacles, and you would never know she had a bad day in her life" says the "Year of the Gentleman" singer/songwriter who looks for the same in a date.
"I know this will sound really clichéd, but I need a woman like my mom. That’s what Miss Independent is about - a woman that can achieve anything, despite whatever.”
Ne-Yo's highly anticipated album "Year of the Gentleman" hits stores Tuesday.
When asked about his third studio album, the follow up to his platinum selling debut and sophomore album "Because of You," Ne Yo says "A woman can do better than waiting on a man to buy her a drink. A man can do better than putting on a pair of jeans that's seven sizes too big."
"I'm not saying this album's going to change the world, but it will definitely give you something to think about."
" i think all us strong black single working women taking care of our business/homes/children earns that title we sistas go thru alot to keep our house afloat "MISS INDEPENDENT" TITLE SHOULD NOT ONLY BE TO THE RICH SUCCESSFUL WOMAN LIKE THE VIDEO PORTRAYS
