Chris Brown has reportedly put the mic down and picked up a pad. Following in the footsteps of fellow R&B crooners Ne-Yo and Tank, Brown has sent songs in for Britney Spears' upcoming album.
"I actually wrote a couple songs for her now" Brown said at this weekend's MTV Video Music Awards, noting that Spears hadn't yet heard the new songs.
"We're on the same label, so all the executives heard the records and they love the records, so hopefully she'll cut it," he said. "But if she doesn't, oh well, we'll go back in the studio and still do some more records for her."
Brown reportedly had a hand in Rihanna's new single "Disturbia" and upcoming tracks by Ludacris whose album is due next month.
In related news, Chris Brown joins Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna and more on Fashion Rocks which airs Tuesday, September 9th.
Way to go Chris Brown! Now his is a song writer too. This makes him ever more talented. Chris will be in the industry for a long time. I love Chris Brown and I can't wait for your new album, Graffiti and your two new films, possibly a third? next year 2009.
