Singer/songwriter Will Downing has been tapped to perform on Jerry Lewis’ annual MDA Labor Day Telethon.
Downing who recently returned to the music scene after a bout with a debilitating disease (polymyositis), will take the stage via live remote from New York during the telethon which is to take place August 31 - September 1st..
First broadcast over Labor Day weekend in 1966 by just one TV station in New York City, the 21 1/2-hour show starring popular comedian Jerry Lewis will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association
This year’s Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Association telethon will begin at 6 p.m. Aug. 31 and run through Labor Day. The 2007 Telethon was viewed by some 40 million people, raising a record $63.8 million.
Will was absolutely wonderful. I didn't know about his medical situation. When I saw his performance, I hardly recognized him, but the voice was magnificent. Thank God for his mercy and power in our lives. Praise God for Will's recovery!! Will you are truly loved and needed to bring that blessed voice to the masses. One Luv.

Keep busy though. Not as busy as Quincy Jones was; that's how he got sick. But moderately stay busy. One!!!
