No Apologies Here: Ne-Yo Tells Britney Spears ‘I Don’t Care, The Songs Were Not Yours’

Ne-Yo is not playing with Britney Spears or her management! According to a recent interview the singer says Spears has a long way to go before he holds songs for her!
According to the UK’s Guardian, Ne-Yo says he doesn’t care about Britney Spears’ feelings being hurt when she heard about him giving songs he penned for her to Nicole Scherzinger.
“I heard that she was upset with me, and you know, I don't care,” says the “Closer” singer who had written six to eight songs for the pop singers album due later this year. According to Ne-Yo, the singer’s management never returned his calls, never paid him, and Spears even missed multiple sessions where she was to show up and provide input on the songs.
The singer/songwriter recalls "We set up multiple sessions where she was supposed to actually come in and give her input on the songs, but she never showed up. OK, she's goin' through some things - whatever, fine. This was before the whole shaving of the head thing, but after that happened, her people stopped returnin' phone calls.”
After meeting up with Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls Ne-Yo gave some of the songs away prompting Spears’ management to take action against the songwriter who they had not paid and ignored. Hey! What's goin' on? Why're you givin' away Britney's music?' I'm like, 'Wait, wait-wait-wait-wait-wait! Until y'all cut me a cheque, I'm givin' away my music. It may've been written with Britney in mind, but it's not hers” he recalls.
“My door swings both ways. Whitney and Michael - those are artists you wait on,” he continues. But Britney? Nah, not yet. You got a little workin' to do before you get to where I sit on a song for you. Sorry."
Stop hatin on Neyo, please? So what everyone knows Brittney! She got famous from singing songs written by someone else and now she's washed up and wants Neyo to bring her back! Sorry Brit!

Neyo did the write thing. For those of you who don't think so, put yourself in his place. You wrote songs with someone you admire in mind. You reach out to them and they ignore you, don't return your calls and most of all don't pay you. I don't care who it is, if you wouldn't let a regular joe blow get away with, you don't let a star get away with it.

If i wasnt gettn paid for songs that I wrote and the artist dont even care to show up for the inputor watever than y shud i care and wait around wen i got sum1 else who cud use em! oh no he didnt,does he have to talk about that to get publicity for other singers he's written songs for,britney is a huge star and thats why he wrote the songs with ritney in mind beause she's such a star.she has sold 83 million albums 80 million of those before she turned 22 has a star on the hollywood walk of fame recieved at the age of 21 so dont try and say she's not a legend,everyone knows britney spears,can we say that about ne-yo???umm no,she doesnt need his songs anywayz blackout was awsenough without them.

Oh wow, yall can hate on NeYo all you want for his comments, but it's true. He's paid && his lyrics are his cash cow. NeYo && his song are like Donald Trump && his properties. Trump's not going to sit around for days && wait for you to make an offer, he's going to go to the person who's offering up the best numbers && who's ready to make the move NOW so he can get paid. && alot of those songs on the radio you're singing along too, he wrote, && he's making more money off that one song than that artist who sang it.

omg oh no he didnt,the impact britney made when she first came out was GIGANTIC,as big as whitney,mariah and michael with his solo stuff,her problems have a big factor of what has happened in her career so 81 million albums before she turned 22 is unheard of so yeah britney spears is a LEGEND,the star on hollywood walk of fame recieved when she was 21 i might add shows that.ne-yo's ego has gotten too big for his own good,ok he might be a good songwriter but britney does not need him or his songs,blackout was amazing without them.........goodbye

Your nothing, Britney does not need any of your songs, she can get anyone to write her songs, You should spend more time writing songs for yourself that way you might actually get lucky and maybe have a hit!!! He's obviously famous enough where he can tell her she can kiss it. Haaha. He's very talented and a very much sought after songwriter/producer working with the likes of Whitney and Michael. He doesn't need a Britney. It doesn't matter who's been around longer. Bottom line she wanted him because she new his talents would help try and re-boost her career. BRITNEY IS NOT A LEGEND either.
