For the first time ever, Ebony magazine is defining what it is to be cool, black and a man. Billie Dee Williams, Denzel Washington and more make the magazine’s cut for the 25 coolest brothers of all time.
According to Ebony, these brothers radiate confidence and have an alluring charisma that sets the standard. From their sleek, debonair styles to their smooth-as-silk personas, these magnificent Black men have conveyed, captured and conquered the quintessence of “cool” while making it appear effortless.
Barack Obama, Jay Z, Prince, Samuel L. Jackson, Denzel Washington, Billy Dee Williams, Muhammad Ali and Marvin Gaye each grace the 8-cover feature on new stands now !
In related news, New Edition graces the cover of the July 14th issue of JET Magazine.
I think Phillip Michael Thomas of Miami Vice should have been on the list..With his swagger and style of dress..how could he not be cool.Another brother is Dr Cornell West..I heard him speak at Hamline University in St Paul,Mn 11 Years ago,and the brother was heavier than a ton of lead.He blew minds, with out any notes! My final choice,is Wesley Snipes..I saw him in 'Murder at 1600'and he was cooler than a meat storage locker..Please add these brothers to your list.

Ebony lets you vote on their website for who you think the coolest black men should be. I voted for Jim Brown. He is the DEFINITION of cool!
