R&B singer Ruben Studdard, American Idol’s Season 2 winner, official tied the knot Today (Jun 28) with Surata Zuri McCants at Canterbury United Methodist Church in his hometown of Birmingham, Alabama.
Studdard, who obtained a marriage license at the County Probate Office in Columbiana, Ala., last Monday, officially wed with 20 groomsmen supporting.
"They looked really happy," an eyewitness tells People.
The "Velvet Teddy Bear" and and his groomsmen wore black Joseph Abboud tuxedos from local outfitter Mr. Burch Formal Wear, says a source. The groomsmen's shirts and vests were black, while Studdard had a white vest and a white bow tie.
Studdard met McCants in October 2006, when he was signing CDs at a Wal-Mart in Atlanta. Struck by her beauty, he followed her to the store's toy department, and requested her phone number.
