Teenagers love Chris Brown, the R&B phenom picked up nine Teen Choice Award nominations yesterday bested only by the popular CW series “Gossip Girl” which earned fourteen nominations.
Chris Brown’s leading nine nominations include "Choice Male Artist," "Male Red Carpet Fashion Icon," "R&B Artist," "Love Song" and "Male Hottie." Not too far behind Rihanna is up for two awards including "Female Hottie" and "Choice Music Single" for “Don’t Stop The Music” where she competes with Brown’s “With You”
At the awards which will air August 4th, hosted by Miley Cyrus, Jordin Sparks will also vie for the "Breakout Artist" award against Leona Lewis. The Bad Boy group Day 26 received a nomination for "Choice Breakout Group" while Danity Kane picked up a nomination for "Choice R&B Track" for their single "Damaged."
The Teen Choice Awards will air on Monday August 4th on the Fox channel. Vote for Your Favorite Nominees which also include Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, Justin Timberlake, and Lil Mama online at TeenChoiceAwards.com.
