As Martin Luther King Jr once said. “Free at last, free at last, God almighty free at last.” In this case we are referring to R. Kelly, who was acquitted on all counts at his child pornography trial.
The verdict came six years after the R&B superstar was first charged with videotaping himself having sex with an underage girl. Prosecutors had said she was as young as 13 at the time.
The Grammy award-winning singer dabbed his face with a handkerchief and hugged each of his four attorneys after the verdict was read. The singer had faced 15 years in prison if convicted.
Minutes later, surrounded by bodyguards, he left the courthouse without comment. Dozens of fans screamed and cheered as he climbed into a waiting SUV.
Both Kelly and the now 23-year-old alleged victim had denied they were the ones appearing on the tape, which was played for the jury at the beginning and end of the trial.
Kelly was charged with 14 counts of videotaping himself having sex with an underage girl, who prosecutors say was as young as 13.

I think this is crazy. hopefully he seeks mental help especially if he has a daughter.just because they found him not guilty does not mean he is innocent. He definetly got a second chance hopefully his daughter is not in danger.Everybody knows when you are 13 you make alot of wrong decisons i feel bad for that young girl the system and Rkelly

Who are we to judge anybody for there faults. If he did it or not its not either one of our places to be against this man. So what if you seen the tape or whatever else. God is in control of this man life and knows whats best for him no matter what we think. Nobody have to right to judge him. We aren't God and was not there when this was suppose to take place. R., you are the best in the business....! I am happy about the outcome of your trial, now don't repeat the same mistake! Let your music speak for itself. I don't care about your guilt or innocence in this case, I am concerned with the fact that voluntary sex acts between two people is voluntary.... Don't get caught on tape again....! i cannot believe some of the things that i hear from some of you black people. think about this....the man was 29 years old and paid a 13 year-old "child" to have sex with him. that is not ok. do any of you have daughters....what if it were your baby girl, yu would not be singing that same tune. i feel sorry for him, because he does have a sickness and need help, but just cuz he makes good music, does not give him the right to molest young girls. get ya minds right. fo sho.

I dont know who was in the tape it did look like R.kelly but anyway like ive always said the man did nothing wrong but pay for sex the young lady in the tape I seen accpeted money so if he is guilty he is guilty of prostitution. He does have a weakness from young women I just hope this doesnt become a micheal j. thing. Good luck Kelly on your second chance.

Another day to prove to the justice system that we African Americans can overcome anything. It shows that everyone will do just about anything for money. Money is what makes the world go around. God knows whats best for R. Kelly's life. Who are we to judge him or to even say it was really him on the tape. Do we realize how much new technology is out here. Its insane. I'm happy for you Kells. Keep up the good work. And as far as dating underage girls so what men and women do it across the world everyday. 16, 17, 18 year old with 24, 25, 26 years olds and its both ways. I love R.Kelly and glad that it is all over. He is one of Chi-town finest.
