A star prosecution witness cried as she alleged at R Kelly's child pornography trial several three-way sexual encounters with the R&B superstar and the alleged victim, some of which she said Kelly videotaped.
Lisa Van Allen, 27, the last witness before prosecutors rested their case, also told jurors in more than three hours of graphic and dramatic testimony that Kelly last year offered her 250,000 dollars to recover a tape of one of the trysts.
During cross-examination, a defense attorney accused Ms Van Allen of plotting to extort money from the singer, a claim she denied.
Under further questioning she admitted she once stole Kelly's $20,000 diamond-studded watch from a hotel.
"Van Allen is an admitted thief and liar who wouldn't know the truth if she tripped over it," Kelly's business manager, Derrel McDavid, said in a statement.
Kelly, 41, faces as many as 15 years in prison if convicted of child pornography on suspicion of videotaping himself having sex with a female who prosecutors say was as young as 13.
He has pleaded not guilty and both he and the alleged victim, now 23, deny being on the video - which is separate from those Van Allen testified to being on.
The state, which called more than a dozen witnesses over two weeks, rested its case after Van Allen's testimony. Jurors will get a day off before the defense begins its presentation Wednesday.
The problem we have i nthis situation is that people are tryngo t put the past behind them. Whether they are using money, or they are just dealing with the situation at hand, they are still tryingo to get over and get by. While it is sick exploit kids, the fact that the accused will possibly not be set free because his paycheck is bigger than the peope who bought the albums that made him who he is. We condemn this man and condone his music? How hypocritical. We need to understand those folks we condemn (rappers who rap about sex, drugs, and violence) are no better than Rkelly. The fact that it is nothing but a dog and pony show now is what RKelly will use to prove his innocense. The funny thing to me is how he coincidentally has an album ot be released at the later this year should tell you where this trial is headfing. Aquital = publicity = sales.

I think he definetly has a problem. A strong attraction to younger woman. As for the girl who keeps denying it is not her, obviously he is still payng her. I dont believe he deserves 15 yrs, but he deserves to be punished.

Im a 27yr old female and from jr high on up I've watched my class mates go after older men (money too) only those guys are the local drug dealers, football or basketball stars. The only reason R.Kelly is in trouble is because somebody got greedy that female in the veido didnt look scared to me and from what i seen she took some money that makes her a WHORE FAST ASS! (COBY WHITE PROBLEM A FEW YEARS AGO) somebody trying get rich off of what happen to someone else! Hell she probably would do it again! Thats if it did happen? Its not like he is rapping these females they are giving it to him in exchange for money and no matter how old or young that makes you a WHORE sad but true. R.kelly along with so many other men desire to be with young women why I dont know. Is it sad yes but true, should he be punished does he need help yes, but not 15yrs when its sick bastards out here taking little girls and boys inconnence getting less time and doing it over and over again.
