R&B singer Chili has started a handbag company called "Bags by Chili." Bags by Chilli’s personalized photographic handbags allow consumers to advertise pictures of their loved ones, hobbies, passions, travels, artwork, company or anything desired. The new line puts consumers in the designer seat and gives them a choice on what to show the world on a daily basis. The Bags By Chilli logo is not displayed anywhere on the outside surface of the bags. There is only a discrete interior label.
“I received a few photo bags with pictures of my son on them as gifts years ago,” Chilli says in a statement on the lines website. “They instantly became my favorite bags and the only ones I carry. Eventually I wanted bags in new shapes and sizes and with new pictures. The company that made my original bags closed and all that I could find for sale were plastic substitutes. I simply had to have more of these bags so I kept searching. I didn’t know it then, but that search would lead me to create Bags By Chilli. Everywhere I go people ask where they can get bags like this. Now, I have an answer. I have expanded my personal collection and can share this great product with everyone. I enjoy sporting my son’s face everywhere I go. I hope you will enjoy your bags just as much!”
As a member of TLC, Chilli helped the group sill over 150 million records worldwide. The groups second album, CrazySexyCool (1994), was one of the first albums to be awarded diamond certification by the RIAA for selling over 11 million copies.
