R&B singer Bobby Brown has confirmed he was unfaithful to his former wife Whitney Houston, admitting shocking details of the couple's relationship in his autobiography 'Bobby Brown: The Truth, the Whole Truth and Nothing But', due out next month.
He writes: "I never used cocaine until after I met Whitney. Before then, I had experimented with other drugs, but marijuana was my drug of choice. At one point in my life, I used drugs uncontrollably. I was using everything I could get my hands on, from cocaine to heroin, weed and cooked cocaine."
The couple's marriage was officially dissolved last year but Brown fought to overturn the ruling in a bid to gain custody of their 15-year-old daughter Bobbi Christina and win spousal support. A judge dismissed his claims earlier this year after he failed to show up to a court hearing.
But now, Brown has admitted their marriage was in trouble for a long time and he jeopardized their relationship by cheating on his wife on numerous occasions.
"I am guilty of sleeping with other women,” says Brown. “Women are always throwing themselves at you. I'm only human, so I would make the mistake and bite the hook sometimes. I let the testosterone take over."
Brown also describes his 14-year marriage as "doomed from the very beginning." "I think we got married for all the wrong reasons," he says in the book. "Now, I realize Whitney had a different agenda than I did when we got married ... I believe her agenda was to clean up her image."
Whitney's rep responded in a statement to PEOPLE: "Miss Houston is sad that Bobby feels he need to say such things but she chooses to take the high road and will not speak badly about the father of her child even if it's to set the record straight."
Okay... okay... y'all all know that Bobby was the man back in the day, with NEW EDITION, then his need to be solo reared its head... he did his thing... I still am crazy about some of Bobby's stuff til this day real talk. Whitney was the *ish* back in the day also... you can go back and find countless number 1 hits from her on both the POP & R&B Charts... no denying they both got talent... were both good at it... in my opinion... its just an example of making the wrong decision in who you marry. Just be sure that you really can see yourself with him or her everyday, and raising a family with them, and going through the ups& downs, good&bad of life. I'm not going to say who did what because I wasn't there and don't know them, like none of us do... dirty laundry gets aired when people are still hurt and angry with the situation. They were together for a very long time... I am sure they both feel they deserve to vent their feelings

It matters not who did what to who. You both indulged. You were both adults and were willing participants. Now the only obvious thing to do is to straighten up your life and forget the past. You should not want to relive such turbulent times. Grow up gracefully.

Bobby Bobby Poor Bobby if Whitney did introduce him to cocaine or crack he was the dummy that took it. Hell Whitney aint but 80lbs all he had to do was blow one good time and Whitney and the crack would of flew away, maybe not the crack cause Bobby would of caught that in mid-air. looks like the money is low and he can't get that daily fix. I don't think this book is going to sell because we already know how f***ed up they were I'm sure everyone saw their show Being Bobby Brown, ain't nothing worse than two crackheads in love.

My dude....I am glad Bobby is setting the record straight about he and whitney at least he's honest enough to say he did the drugs... but Whitney introduced him to coke... i remember Bobby back in the Latin Quarter days of the 80's he did smoke the Bob Marley but was'nt doin no base that was Whitney's choice of drug...but typical of chicks when it goes wrong blame the dude and the bitter chicks will support and i am glad Bobby hit rock bottom now he can look up again........ make that come back my dude...and yeah whitney at that time was being booed by the black community on award shows because she was pop...just youtube it...enter Bobby the Bad Boy and then she was loved all over again...so she did gain ...and Bobby's bad boy status was because he did'nt take no crap and he was an infamous serial humper

The Houstons/ Drinkards have been family friends from long ago. It is unfortunate that this marriage occured and should have ended long ago. Not a good match. Everyone makes a mistake. Thank God mama Houston was the one who had some sense to help set this mess straight. My best to Whitney in the future. They both need to go their separate ways and stay away from each other.

this almost too funny ...when it doesn't work out there's always a story to tell i.e. memoir i need money. Prayerfully, these two can forgive and well to forget tht would take an act of God. nontheless, slinging mud at each other is no way to resolve anything. whitney i believe should return to her first love and begin singing for the Lord now. a voice like hers could win many a soul to the Kingdom, melt hearts etc. and help to bring healing and deliverance to the multiudes that are crying out for salvation and searching for a reason to believe in Christ Jesus. She would be more than rewarded for her submission to the Almighty God. After all he purposed her from the beginning to be great instrument of his righteousness . Her voice was a gift for her to use for bringing the Kingdom of Heaven here on this Earth not the raising of hell.
