R&B singer Ne-Yo who was reportedly booted from the R. Kelly ‘Double Up’ tour made an on-air appearance on New York’s 105.1 to clear up all the misleading reports.
As previously reported, Allan Mayer, a spokesperson for R. Kelly, said the singer did not have a role in Ne-Yo being booted off the tour: "Ne-Yo's departure from the 'Double Up' tour was the result of a contractual issue between him and the tour promoter. R. Kelly had nothing to do with it."
In contrary, Ne-Yo says Kelly was being selfish. The “Because Of You” star said R. Kelly took all the dressing rooms, and he also said certain stage props that he wanted to use was denied.
This is not the first time R. Kelly has had issues with another major artist on tour. Last year Jay-Z claimed that Kelly was the one responsible for the October collapse of the duo's "Best of Both Worlds" tour.
In answering Kelly's complaint, Jay-Z describes the 36-year-old singer as prone to crying fits and, in light of his "precarious financial and legal circumstances," desperate for money.
R. Kelly is a rich b**** that likes babies. I think he has issues with someone else being bigger than he is. R. Kelly is old as hell and needs to retire. His time is coming to an end. Get over it. There is new cat in town.

I'm a fan of ne-yo since he came out with that song stay with me. What happened to him being kicked off the r.kelly tour was stupid to me...R.Kelly needs to learn to share
it's not just him on this tour. He has fame and money
so does the other artists but it wasn't right for ne-yo to only perform twice.....he should get his money
R.Kelly needs to grow up and step aside
so if the fans like ne-yo better big deal
stop being a hater and appreciate the talent that someone else has

Ne-Yo never explained how he "only" did 2 of the "5" performances "BEFORE" he was removed from the line-up that Monday. While Ne-Yo played his fans by trying to collect sympathy, let's also consider his lack of explaining how he'd missed the Greensboro, Birmingham, and Charlotte gigs because he was at the Music Awards performing with Rhianna. He didn't seem to worry about those fans missing the opportunity to hear him perform then, nor has he fully explained that when he finally sauntered back to the tour that fateful Monday he was about to head off again to the Macy's Day parade in NYC while the tour was performing in Newark that very same day. And then there were the continuos ribbon cuttings for the Ronald Houses and don't forget the masquerade ball he was planing.

Ne-Yo admitted on Ed Lover's show that he initially refused to take his crew to Columbus to practice and that they were practicing in Atlanta, instead. Ne-Yo also admitted that he was told by the Kelly folks that he'd "better" get his butt up to Columbus and rehearse on that stage. Once Ne-Yo reluctantly agreed and arrived in Columbus, his 4 hours was reduced to 2 hours because he used that time up debating and protesting. Ne-Yo was learning quickly he had to be a team player and just because he decided to finally give-in and act professionally, other performers who were already in place needed to use the stage to practice on as well. Ne-Yo's time was cut because of his decisions, not anyone else's. Similarly, if Ne-Yo had to "fight" for a dressing room, and Kelly took them all, then where did J Holiday and Keisha get dressed? Ne-Yo may be a neophyte but his manager needs to get fired if he allowed his client to go on tour without a contract under any circumstances.

I think kel's days are numbered....he's been swimming in the dirt too long, and now his true colors are surfacing!! I am a kel's fan, but from all the crazy stuff going on around him, I think he owe a lot of people an explanation on the real!!
I WON'T JUDGE A FELLOW MAN, THATS GOD'S JOB. BUT KELS........YOU MAY NEED TO PUMP YOUR BRAKES, AND ASK YOURSELF WHY YOU CAN'T JUST GET ALONG WITH ANYBODY????

I totally agree. He is being too greedy with the money or fame or whatever he calls it. I think there's enough to spread out. Ne-Yo is a great artist and it was dumb of R.Kelly to act ao immature and childish. I think he should apologize

forget R. Kelly... Yes, he may be good at what he does but he doesn't have to be selfish... he must realize that he was once part of a show were he wasn't the MAIN Character and someone gave him a chance to shine... to me, Ne-Yo is a great performer, song writer and singer and he is giving R. Kelly a run for his money!!!!!!
Go 'head NeYo.....
