Teddy Riley, best known as "The King of New Jack Swing," will be entered into The Hip-Hop Hall of Fame at the VH1 Hip-Hop Awards. The R&B legend will be officially entered into the Hip-Hop Hall of Fame on Oct 4th and will appear and perform on the VH1 special to air Oct. 8th 2007.

Singer-Songwriter-Musician Teddy Riley was the ring leader of one of the most influential groups of R&B in two separate decades, Guy in the '80s and Blackstreet in the '90s. Riley is mostly responsible for making a successful fusion of hip-hop and R&B in the late '80s and early '90s which was called “New Jack Swing.”

Riley is also credited for discovering The Neptunes (Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo) and Rodney Jerkins.

Currently Teddy Riley has been in the lab working effortlessly on his soon to be released LP: Teddy Riley “The Comeback” “The Legend.”
