Former "Whine Up" singer Kat DeLuna is ready for a new beginning of sorts with Universal Motown.
DeLuna, who earned a top 40 hit with "Whine Up," signed with Universal Motown after leaving Epic Records last October.
Gearing up for her next album, DeLuna has hit the studio with RedOne and Lil Wayne to capture what she calls "a little bit different, but crazy" sound.
According to her reps, Pop/R&B singer Kat DeLuna, famously known for her hit single "Whine Up" featuring Elephant Man, have split with Epic Records.
DeLuna’s debut album "9 Lives," sold just 63,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen Soundscan. Billboard reports that tracks from the disc have performed well, selling more than 866,000 digital copies.
