An early morning armed robbery involving Akon's producer Detail is said to have stemmed from an ongoing financial feud between Akon's team and Suge Knight.
According to a report issued by TMZ this afternoon, a group of five men broke into the home of one of Akon's entourage members with guns drawn demanding that debt owed to notorious Death Row Records mogul Suge Knight be paid.

Akon pled guilty in a Fishkill, NY courtroom Wednesday for tossing a fan off stage at an upstate New York concert last year.
The 35-year-old singer threw the teenage boy off the stage during a June 2007 concert at a minor league baseball stadium near Poughkeepsie. Another concertgoer claimed she suffered a concussion when the teen landed on her.

Akon's "Freedom" got swiped by Britney Spears' "Circus" on this week's chart.
According to Nielsen Soundscan, the "Right Now (Na Na Na)" star's new album "Freedom" moved 111,000 copies in it's first week. While Akon has promised a number of signature 'Konvict' songs on his upcoming album "Freedom" the former "Smack That" star admits he had to switch things up this time out.
Set for release, Dec. 2, Akon's "Freedom" features help from T-Pain, Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy and an all new Euro-club inspired sound.
"We changed the sound up a lot," Akon told Billboard recently.

Akon has been in some trouble over the last few months for allegedly tossing fans from the stage, ironically the singer/songwriter/producer has decided to title his new album "Freedom" before the trial actually begins.
Due in stores this November, "Freedom" becomes Akon's third studio album and latest project under his Konvict imprint.
A recent video of Akon uploaded to the net this week was altered according to concert promoters in South America.
