Former Bad Boy Records recording group Day26 is gearing up for the release of their third studio album ‘A New Day,’ later this year. After the separation from Bad Boy, the set will be released on Atlantic records and will mark a new start for the reality TV branded group.

“Coming from the reality TV and really understanding the realty TV show, it is obvious that we were supposed to be done by now,” member Willie Taylor tells Singersroom. “We still here, still doing our thing. Still signed to a major record label. Still able to get out here and make this money.”

Without Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs at the helm of the new effort, the group raves about the LP being their best work to date due to their creative approach.

“We have way more creative control but at the end of the day I am not really mad at the previous projects,” says Taylor. “The first album with Day26 which was a great album, I feel like that was handpicked by Diddy. It could have been anybody who made the band to make that album. The second album we found the majority of those records and then Diddy came in and added the records he wanted in there. This album is all us of course with the help of our A&R Darryl Jones at Atlantic [Records]. It has pretty much been us writing the records, finding the records [and] the whole nine yards. I feel like this is going to be our best project to date.”

All eyes will be on Day26 to see if they can continue their success without their former Bad Boy boss.

Thoughts?

It’s been a long and winding road for the members of Day26, but now it seems that their hard work is paying off with creative control over their latest album. After years spent in the spotlight, these former MTV stars are finally getting to do what they love most – creating music as a unified group. In an exclusive interview with PopBuzz, the members of Day26 open up about why they’re so excited to be back together and how their new project ‘New Day’ represents this new era of freedom and creativity.

Day26 originally rose to fame in 2007 when they won the second season of MTV’s Making The Band 3. They released two albums during their time on Bad Boy Records before disbanding in 2012 due to various personal issues within the group. Since then, each member has gone on individual paths while still staying connected through friendships and collaborations. Now reunited under their own label (33rd Street Records), Day26 are looking forward to taking full control over every aspect of their musical career from production down to promotion.

As founding member Willie Taylor puts it: “This is our second chance at life; we have complete autonomy over all aspects of our careers.” Through ‘New Day’, fans will get to experience first-hand how much power this newfound independence has given them and just what kind of music they can make without any outside interference or corporate restraints. Keep reading for all the insight into this big comeback!

Group Background And History

Day26 is an American R&B group that was formed in 2007 by Sean “Diddy” Combs as part of his Making the Band 4 competition. The original lineup consisted of Robert Curry, Willie Taylor, Michael McCluney, Brian Andrews and Que Mosley. All five members are multi-talented musicians who sing, rap, produce and write their own music. Throughout their career, Day26 has released two studio albums and multiple hit singles; they have also won several awards for their work.

Recently, Day26 announced the release of a new album titled “New Day” which will feature all five original members. This is a huge accomplishment for the group since it marks a return to creative control over their sound after being on hiatus due to label issues in past years. Fans are ecstatic about this news and can’t wait to hear what the new project sounds like.

The members of Day26 have expressed joy at having a say in every aspect of production on “New Day” from top to bottom. They’ve been working hard behind the scenes crafting beats and writing lyrics with full autonomy on how their songs should be presented to the public. It’s clear that the group has remained dedicated to creating quality music throughout its ten-year journey together – something that makes fans even more excited for what lies ahead!

Discussion Of Creative Process For ‘New Day’

The members of Day26 have been hard at work on the creative process for their new album “New Day” and are thrilled to be in full control over their sound. With a decade’s worth of experience under their belts, it is clear that the group has stayed committed to producing quality music throughout its journey together. This commitment shines through as they discuss how each song was carefully crafted from start to finish.

The group revealed that writing and developing tracks for “New Day” involved many late nights in the studio where they experimented with different sounds and ideas until they found something they felt truly captured what they wanted the project to represent. They also worked closely with producers who could help them bring those ideas into fruition while still allowing room for individual creativity amongst themselves. The final product is sure to be an exciting blend of classic R&B vibes mixed with fresh new beats!

This level of creative freedom gives the group more ownership over their own artistry which fans can look forward hearing when “New Day” finally drops later this year. The anticipation surrounding the release grows greater every day as we wait patiently for another glimpse into the world of Day26 and all that it offers musically.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the Day26 members are very proud of what they have achieved with their latest album ‘New Day’. They were given creative control over the project and it shows in each track. The group is committed to creating music that speaks to their fans about real issues and experiences.

The journey for Day26 has been a long one but they wouldn’t change any part of it. Through all the highs and lows, the members remain united and continue to strive for excellence. Their loyalty to each other and dedication to making great music keeps them motivated no matter what challenges come up along the way.

Ultimately, Day26’s new album reflects who they are as artists and people: resilient, compassionate, determined, and creative. It’s an example of how hard work can pay off when you stay true to yourself. As always, we wish them nothing but success!
