R&B/pop star Rihanna conducted her first interview for her forthcoming fifth studio album, ‘Loud,’ recently on the set of her upcoming film “Battleship.” In the interview with ET, Rihanna sheds light on why she will miss the MTV Video Music Awards this year. “I definitely wish I could be there for Eminem,” she tells ET about performing their duet “Love The Way You Lie.” “He’s performing the song we did together. It would have been nice to do it, but he understands. Obviously right now I’m doing something that is a priority to me.” “The VMAs will be there next year,” she adds. “I’ll have a lot more music out by then.” Rihanna recently released the lead single off ‘Loud’ titled “Only Girl (In The World).” Listen to “Only Girl (In The World)” As far as the album, Rihanna says, “The name of the album reflects the attitude. It’s really sassy and funny. It really grabs your attention and that’s why I enjoy it. It takes you through a really interesting ride, it’s so colorful.” Loud hits store November 16.

Rihanna is one of the biggest names in music, and her influence has been felt across genres. Now, she’s weighing in on this year’s MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) – and it looks like she wishes she could be there! In an interview with Complex magazine, Rihanna revealed how much she would have liked to attend the VMAs for her friend Eminem’s performance. She spoke about why his set was so important to her and what makes him such a unique artist. It seems clear that no matter where Rihanna is, supporting her friends will always take precedence. Let’s find out more about what Rihanna had to say about missing the VMAs and celebrating Eminem’s success!

Though many people were disappointed that they couldn’t attend the 2020 edition of the MTV Video Music Awards due to COVID-19 restrictions, none may have wished they could be there as much as international superstar Rihanna. The “Work” singer recently sat down with Complex magazine to discuss why attending this year’s ceremony would have meant so much to her – particularly when it came to Eminem taking the stage. She opened up about why he inspires her so deeply, saying: “The way [Eminem] can tell stories through rap…I don’t think anyone else does it better than him.”

It’s clear that despite not being able to make it in person this time around, Rihanna still wanted nothing but good things for her rapper pal at the event. Her kind words serve as proof that even if you’re one of the biggest stars in pop culture today, some friendships are too strong for fame or distance to break them apart. Read on for more details about what Ri said regarding missing out on seeing Em perform live at the VMAs!

Rihanna’s Thoughts On Vma Absence

Rihanna had to miss the MTV Video Music Awards this year, but that hasn’t stopped her from expressing how much she wished she could have been there. In an interview with Variety, the singer expressed her admiration for Eminem and shared why it was so disappointing not to attend.

When asked about missing out on seeing Eminem perform his new single, Rihanna said: “I definitely wish I could be there for him – in person! He’s always such a pleasure to watch onstage, and you can feel the energy he brings.” She went on to say that being at the VMAs is like “being part of one big family reunion,” something fans know all too well.

The artist concluded by stating that although she couldn’t be present physically, she was watching from home and sending love and support. It’s clear that Rihanna has nothing but respect for everyone who showed up to celebrate, even if she wasn’t able to join them herself.

Emotional Support For Eminem

Rihanna’s admiration for Eminem was clear, as she spoke of her respect for the artist and his performances. She also expressed that even though she couldn’t be in attendance, she was sending emotional support to him from home. This is a testament to how close the two artists are and what their relationship means to Rihanna.

The singer-songwriter has been an iconic figure in music since 2005 when she released her first single ‘Pon de Replay’ and has had many collaborations with Eminem over the years. There is no doubt that both of these mega stars have earned each other’s respect through their joint efforts and solo successes.

It speaks volumes about the bond between them that Rihanna would take time out of her day to share such heartfelt words about missing seeing one of her closest collaborators perform on stage once again. The mutual admiration shared between both artists continues to stand strong despite physical distance.

Conclusion

I feel for Rihanna right now. She’s a huge fan of Eminem and the VMA’s, but unfortunately can’t attend due to her own commitments. It would have been great to see Rihanna in that audience, cheering on her favorite rapper with the rest of us.

But while she may not be able to join him physically at the VMAs this year, it is clear that she is still very much supportive of him emotionally. Her kind words and public show of support are evidence enough that she has his back through thick and thin. I’m sure Eminem appreciates having such a strong ally who loves his music as much as he does!

Rihanna reminds us all why we should never take our friends and family for granted—their emotional support means more than anything else. You don’t necessarily need to be there in person to show your love; sometimes an encouraging word from afar is just what someone needs when they’re feeling down or discouraged. Let’s keep this lesson close to heart!
