Monica, Usher Battle Timbaland For No.1 Single

Monica Just days before their respective album releases, singles from Monica and Usher are battling it out for the top spot on Billboard's R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart.

While the duo failed to reach the top spot this week, which went to Timbaland's "Say Something" (feat. Drake), both managed to unseat previous top 5 acts Melanie Fiona ("It Kills Me") and Trey Songz ("Say Aah").

Leading the charge, Monica's "Everything To Me" jumped six spots to reach no.3 on Thursday's chart (9-3).

The lead single from "Still Standing," which is due in stores March 23, "Everything To Me" was penned by Grammy nominated talent Jazmine Sullivan with production from Missy Elliott.

Following close behind, Usher moved four spots with his rising single "Hey Daddy (Daddy's Home)".

A follow up to the chart-topping single "Papers," "Hey Daddy (Daddy's Home)" leads Usher's forthcoming album "Raymond Vs. Raymond".

Due in stores March 30, "Raymond Vs. Raymond" includes collaborations with Nicki Minaj and Will.I.Am.

Like Rihanna, who leaped 4-1 on the Billboard Hot 100 last week, either Monica or Usher could very well take the top spot on the R&B chart next week...
