Akon Drops Hits, Beats For Fragrance
After success with charting singles "Smack That" and "Beautiful," Akon is opting to share his favorite scent with the world via Konvict Cosmetics.
Aptly named after his top-selling album Konvict, the fragrance line launched with both Konvict for men and women recently.
"We are excited and honored to launch Konvict with AKON which we project strong sales in this celebrity fragrance market," says Jack Aini, Managing Director of Konvict Cosmetics, International, LLC.
According to Aini, ten percent of all proceeds will be donated to the Konfidence Foundation, founded to bring public awareness of the conditions in Africa and providing underprivileged African youth with access to learning, recreational environments and wellness services.
Konvict For Men and Konvict For Women is not yet available in stores but, is available online at akonfragrances.com.
