Time is winding down for Erykah Badu's anticipated release "New Amerykah: Part 2".
Set for release March 30, Badu recently spoke of the album and recording process, telling fans recording the album was like "therapy".
"Having a chance to get The new songs out of me was therapy for me. Had to watch myself love and grow and be selfish and forgive..," Badu wrote on Twitter.
Originally part of a double album, "New Amerykah: Part 2" is led by the single "Window Seat".
Featuring an earthy stomp over piano, "Window Seat" debuted on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart at No. 47 recently. It is just one of several tracks Badu pieced together for the album with musicians and producers Madlib, Shafiq Husayn, 9th Wonder, Karieem Riggins, Georgia Ann Muldrow and the Roots' James Poyser, who produced the lead single, "Window Seat."
"New Amerykah: Part 2" is due in stores March 30.
