Patti LabelleVeteran R&B/soul diva Patti Labelle has some harsh words for 'American Idol,' and not its contestants or producers either. According to Labelle, the judges need some work.

"Some of the judges, I don't think they're qualified to even judge," Labelle said during an interview Wednesday.

While she would not discuss which judge she believes is not qualified, Labelle says their choice of words when dealing with contestants is also a problem.

"The comments that were made, they could make you like wanna kill yourself," she says.

Nonetheless, Labelle seems to agree that American Idol is a great opportunity, as long as contestants are prepared and remain confident.

"When people tell you 'You can't,' you have to say, 'I can.'

It's about time the masses are listening to the veterans in this business! Patti Labelle and her peers are the most underrated group of divas of our time! Mainstream media does NOT give them props like they do for Barbara Streisand & Celine Dion! For Patti's truthful statements to make the news like this, its about damn time we listen to what the vets have to say not only because they're more talented and older, but out of just pure respect for those like Patti that have paved the way!
