R&B Singer LeToya Luckett has slammed claims she was hurt by the lyrics to the Destiny's child song ?Survivor.? The track features LeToya's former bandmate Beyonce Knowles singing the stirring lyrics: "You thought that I'd be stressed without you but I'm chillin' / You thought I wouldn't sell without you / Sold nine million". Many believe the lyrics refer to Luckett, who was pushed out of the band in 2000. However, Luckett not only insists she doesn't know who the song's about, but says she drew strength from its lyrics. She says, "When I first heard it I didn't know what it was about. I was feeling Beyonce though, because at that time I was like, well shoot, I'm a survivor. "I've been through so many things in my life and I'm blessed to be standing here today. I still don't actually know who it was about. "I hope no one would have any bad intentions towards me."

I feel her on that because Survivor is an inspirational song. I think the intentions weren't as bad as they seemed. The only thing I don't get about that article is the fact that if she wasn't upset with the lyrics or the song then why'd she re-open the lawsuits in 2001?

As much as I love LeToya. I hate to admit that she is lying. Toya and Tavia sued Be and Kelly over that song. Saying that the song violated their previous settlement due to its lyrics which they believed to reference the ugly split. I still love you, LeToya. But your true fans knows the truth!!!

LeToya's trying to be polite and keep down drama. It's pretty obvious the song was about Toya and LaTavia. "Thought I wouldn't sell w/o you, sold 9 mill" The album only sold 9 mill b/c of the drama w/ members coming and leaving the group. DC sucked after they left the group. They started making corny a$$ songs like Bootylicious. And My girls still getting royalties from the first 2 albums so it's all good. They got a raw deal, so I really do wish Toya, Tavia and even Farrah all the best.
Bullsh*t. The lyric is geared 2wards letoya/laTavia & they both know it. "Sur" was the DC opus. Yea it sold 9mill but afterwards their cd sucked( remix, destiny fulfilled). & leToya & laTavia still getting paid from 1st DC cds so they cool as well.
