Keri Hilson 'Thankful' After Grammy Shut Out

Despite loosing to the Zac Brown Band and Jay Z, "In A Perfect World" singer/songwriter Keri Hilson is happy.
Telling fans she was just happy to be attending the Grammy's, let alone nominated, Hilson tweeted (Twitter) through much of the 52nd Annual Grammy Award festivities.
"What can I say? I AM in the BUILDING," wrote Hilson after loosing Best New Artist to Zac Brown Band. "That alone is a dream come true...but I won't lie my heart was poundin
like hell!!!"
But, the night was not all about the awards for Hilson. According to the "Knock You Down" singer, picking a dress for the evening was a battle.
"This is MJ bad...I STILL haven't decided which dress to wear," Hilson told fans earlier in the evening. "its narrowed down to 2 but I can't decide...wish I could let my fans pick!"
Finally narrowing it down, Hilson hit the red carpet writing "if WE win for KYD (Knock You Down) I'm hittin a backflip in my dress!"
In related news, Keri Hilson is fast at work on a follow up to "In A Perfect World," her debut album. Sources say the album is poised for a Spring 2010 release.

ok. first it is a disgrace to even put keri hilson on the same level as beyonce'. Keri hilson was nominated for best new artist. Was beyonce in that catogory? no. or what about best rap collaboration? no. So leave beyonce out of why she didnt win a damn grammy.

keri deserved both awards but the show was all about beyonce they are trying to convince us that beyonce is the best but i dont like bee keri is better she can dance and her music cd is better

pink shut the show down , her performance was out of sight, keri you keep working and giving it all you have got and time will bring forth a true picture of the great artist you and a lot of the other artist are. people can see straight through all of the side deals that goes on in the industry.i say that because there just should have been a bigger line up of artist and not just three or four artist ,,, thats a shame....
keri you hang in there, this is only a test, the best is yet to come. to me this year there was not a lot of artist in the running, for the awards it was kind of like they had it planned for things to end just like they wanted to. something is just not sitting right with a lot of people about the grammys. its like a lot of people was shut out,,,,,just saying
