Maxwell Wins First Grammy Award, Jay Z Early Winner

Maxwell picked up his first Grammy at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards Sunday.
Winning both Best R&B Album and Best Male R&B Vocal Performance during the celebration of music's pre-telecast, Maxwell said "This is my first Grammy.... it means a lot to me".
Jay-Z, also picking up two awards during the pre-telecast, won for the hit single "D.O.A. - Death of Autotune" (Rap Solo Performance) and its follow up "Run This Town" (Rap Song).
Jamie Foxx (R&B Duo or Group with Vocals), Eminem (Rap Album, Rap Duo or Group Performance), India Arie (Best Urban/Alternative Performance) and Beyonce (Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance, Best Contemporary R&B Album) were also counted among the night's early winners.
