Rihanna Calls 'Rated R' Album 'Classic,' Is She Right ?
The pressure was on for Rihanna when recording what is now her fourth studio album. Coming off a mega hit album, titled "Good Girl Gone Bad," and singles including "Umbrella," "Rehab" and "Disturbia," the singer had no choice but to step it up a notch. Now that "Rated R" is in the hands of people like you, Rihanna believes it is a "classic".
"We made a great album, which was my intention in the first place," says Rihanna. "That makes this a classic album for me."
With singles like "Hard" and songs like "Rockstar 101," Rihanna says the edginess makes "Rated R" a classic.
"It's very edgy. 'Good Girl Gone Bad' was all about me at that point of my life. It had attitude and an edge and this next album takes it up a notch."
While "Rated R" is a classic in her eyes, Rihanna admits there is much more to do on its follow up.
"I want to evolve and keep changing and I want my music to reflect that."

Beyonce has more #1 singles as a solo artist AND NOT INCL DC3. They didn't factor in Beyonce's last CD which why it says TIED but Bey CLEARLY has more #1's - LOST AGAIN. YOU'RE STRAIGHT LYING ABOUT HALO BEING UMBRELLA. UMBRELLA was MARY'S SONG!!! and then meant for Britney and RIHANNA STOLE IT IDIOT - DO YOUR HOMEWORK. Girl, you trying to come for the Queen with rumors and feelings. I have FACTS boo and even if I didn't Beyonce is CLEARLY the Queen. By the way - she got ANOTHER #1 the other day - LMAO.

Rihanna starts grabbing her crotch during her "Hard" performances, here come Beyonce doing it on the Grammys. Beyonce is the most unoriginal pop star I've ever seen. She's copied exact staging and performances from everyone from Britney to JLo. Face it, Rihanna is tied with Beyonce for hit singles and she's just getting started--she's only 21 lmao!! You mad?
Yeah, it is a classic. It's a coherent work that works from start to finish. It doesn't feel like a collection of singles like "Good Girl Gone Bad," but a real "album".
I wish she'd go away and stop trying to be Beyonce already. All you have to do is watch/listen to Beyonce and you'll hear all that comes out of this un-talented broad's mouth. She's a waste of a career for someone that truly talented. Beyonce has the talent game on lock and Gaga took the fashion - so now what Riri? GO AWAY!!!
Classic for her...fine. No one with a classic album actually SAYS it is - except for Kanye and his first one.
I did not buy rated r because i felt sorry for her. I FEEL SORRY FOR NO ONE!
She said "FOR ME" ( in her opinion...not yours lala). She didnt speak about the incident before because she probably wasnt ready to. Now that her album is done, she can get everything off her chest. Alot of victims of DV do not speak out, some of them take ages to finally talk about it. I bought the album, and it wasnt because I felt sorry for her.
Not a classic. Her last album, Good Girl Gone Bad, was way better than this one.
