Kelis Tells Nas Pay Up or Face Contempt of Court
According to "Acapella" singer Kelis, Nas is behind on child support payments and needs to pay up or face court.
In documents uncovered by TMZ this week, Kelis has requested that a judge handling their ongoing divorce case summon Nas to court for failure to hand over his $50,000 a month check for child and spousal support.
Alleging her soon-to-be ex husband owes $56, 911 in back payments, Kelis says Nas should be held in contempt of court.
As published last month, Nas was ordered to increase monthly payments from $40,000 to $51,000. The couple's divorce proceedings began last Spring, with Kelis later giving birth to their only child, Knight, in July.
