T.I.Grammy Award-winning Hip Hop artist T.I. will celebrate Christmas and open the New Year in his home state.

Thanks to a deal confirmed by his lawyer, authorities released T.I. from a federal prison in Arkansas nearly seven months into his reported one year and a day sentence on gun charges.

According to his attorney, Steve Sadow, the Grammy winner will report to a halfway house in the Atlanta, Georgia area this week to begin a stay of two to three months.

T.I. was originally due to be released March 10, 2010.
