Day 26 'Tried Everything' Before Booting Que
The next time you see 'Making the Band 4' stars and award-winning group Day 26, they'll be down one member !
Confirming rumblings of a split that first hit the net in November, Willie of Day 26 took to both Twitter and WGCI stating that he and fellow Day 26 members "tried" to keep Qwanell Mosley aka Que in the group before giving him walking papers this week.
"It's funny how people can take sides in a situation without knowing the truth. We tried our a**es off to keep him the group," Willie Taylor of the group that won its first BET Award for Best Group this year wrote on Twitter Friday.
"Ya'll will soon know the truth," Taylor later wrote.
According to Que, also taking the news to Twitter, Day 26 members and management sent him an official letter booting him from the group earlier this week. Claiming to be surprised over the letter, Que told fans "wow.. im so hurt RT now I just received a letter from day26 saying they r moving forward without me... im so confused.. what did I do?"
As previously reported on Singersroom, Day 26 formed under the strong rated MTV reality series, headed by Sean 'Diddy' Combs, titled "Making The Band 4'. Handpicked by Diddy, the group joined then rising group Danity Kane, ushering in a new era for Diddy's Bad Boy Records, while also spinning off several seasons of the hit show "Making the Band 4'. Coming to a close in April, Making the Band 4 ended with the official disbandment of Danity Kane and the launch of Day 26's sophomore effort "Forever In A Day".
While Day 26 had plenty of great times infront of the camera for millions to see on Making the Band 4, fights and temporary hiatuses were seen on the last season of Making the Band 4. Alledging that Que was booted from the group because of his actions and seeming inability to 'get along' with others, Willie spoke with WGCI Friday calling the singer a "cancer".
"He was a like a cancer," said Willie. "We almost lost our deal. There's a lot of stuff we almost lost because of this dude".
Hitting back, Que alleged that the group was having financial problems and believes he might have been booted after requesting an audit.
"All i wanted was a audit of finances for management & instead management put me out..i love day26 & i wish them the best," said Que.
While Que is reportedly out of the group, Willie of Day26 says an album will still be released in 2010. As previously reported, the group is fast at work on an album to be released through Atlantic Records.

this is wat i think abt day 26 que doesnt deserve to be in the group, hes been a selfish not a matual dude at all ..que suck .. forget him i think day 26 can do without him. que ur a f***ing selfish b**** thats all i wana say
For those who has something negative 2 say about DAY26, u needs 2 no that buisnes is buisness. I just hate it when people try 2 tair someone down because they don't understand the behind the scenes. I'mm not goin 2 stop listening because of 1 member is missing. Just like Danity Kane I play both albums every day faithfully, and i'm going 2 buy all 5 girls solo alums. Just like Danity Kane I will buy all Day26 and Q's album I have no favorite I like good music and if thats what they supply me with then its all good with me, Day26, Girls of Danity Kane, Donnie Klang & Q. So my point is talk what the f*** you know and 4 all yall who have something negative 2 say about any making the band situation you aren't doing nothing but show how much "BITCH ASSNESS" u are filled with. If anyone one from Danity Kane, Day26 or Donnie Klang and Q just remeber I'm always going 2 ride 4 you all till the very end and 1day in the future I look foward 2 working with you. I think the group made a great move. Q was, and is an immature ass. Something is terribly wrong when all of the problems keep coming back to one person. Q has always been obsessed with money. If u watch the last season of making the band, he was the one causing all of the problems. Will said it best when he stated that they don't have money flowing in, but they are living comfortably. Q shouldn't have been living beyond his means. I can't stand it when people think that one person makes or breaks the group. He couldn't really sing that well. Diddy said himself that he was an inch away from not being in the group from the beginning. The remaining four members will be ok. They are all very talented and will have much success. They will prove everybody else wrong. There is nothing wrong with being business men and wanting to take your craft to the next leve, because once the cameras stop rolling, there is still music to be made. They will rise to the challenge.
I'm throughly ticked off bout this. I mean, I THOUGHT I loved Day26 fpr Day26, but come to think about it, I only loved them for Que (and Rob) and now, I honestly don't think I'm gonna buy their CD. I mean, I still love Rob definetly and then Mike, but I don't like Will period, never have for some reason, and don't see myself starting any time soon, so I hope Que does well in his new management, cause I will be keeping tabs on him, lol. 2010 is the year, Que!!!!!
I hate this f***ing s*** que makes the group yall need to put moke fat ass out the group cause he cant sing wit his fat ass!
What The f*** que makes the f***ing group i will not listen to antmore of their songs cause they suck without him!
f*** day 26 or wateva their name is n let me tink about my NE-YO.
f--k that nig. that's what u get when u think ur the sh-t & u ain't even that famous!! marry ur lil nig b-tch and make more lil nigs that have attitude like the both of u. danity kane & day 26 had 2 many ppl that thought they were better than the group - well enjoy ur lame attempts at becoming a solo artist. HA! suck it!!
I hard to believe that Que is really out of the group. I mean, Que did have some issues but Day26 cant be Day26 without all of its members including Que! I have love Day26 since day 1 and it will never be the same without Que. I wonder how the other members are feeling about this, how can they make another album without their fifth member. I hope Que comes back somehow!
This happens with many R&B groups in wheras there is always one member who is far more vocal other group members, when it comes to business! Dawn of EnVogue, Taj of SWV, Ronnie Devoe of New Edition, Left-eye of TLC and even as far back as Jody Watley of Shalimar and more further with Dennis Edwards of the Temptations! R&B groups have had more of a hard time staying together, professionally and personally, than any other genre of music! It mostly comes down to lack of respect from the industry and repeatedly NOT being paid. The music industry is NOT colorblind! Although Que had issues, their are NO R&B/Hip-hop groups on the scene other than Day 26 and the ones who are still together like BoysIIMen, EnVogue, Mint Condition, Jagged Edge and BBD are struggling and don't receive mainstream respect and its another slap-in-the-face to the barely hanging on genre of R&B, as compared to the many country, pop and rock group$ who continue to thrive year after year, and the year$ to come!
