Lil Wayne will begin his year long jail sentence in February, according to published reports.
Appearing at a Manhattan state court Tuesday, a judge ruled the star must turn himself in to officials February 9, 2010.
As previously reported, Lil Wayne plead guilty to charges of second degree felony criminal weapons possession and criminal possession of a loaded weapon, following his 2007 arrest in New York, when officials found a firearm on his tour bus.
Lil Wayne is also due to stand trial in March, on drug possession charges in Arizona.
