Mariah Carey Tops Most Popular Songs With ?

Mariah Carey is back on top thanks to a surprising hit from yesteryear.
According to Billboard, the "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" diva has earned the distinction of having the most popular song of the decade with "We Belong Together".
While Carey had a tough start this decade with the 2001 film and soundtrack album "Glitter," she turned things around with the lauded 2005 effort "The Emancipation of Mimi". Thanks to that album, Carey unleashed the hit single "We Belong Together" which remained on the Billboard Hot 100 fourteen non-consecutive weeks in 2005.
Carey is joined by boy band, N'Sync, who reportedly have the best selling album this decade thanks to "No Strings Attached". Featuring the singles "Bye, Bye, Bye" and "It's Gonna Be Me," "No Strings Attached" has sold over 10 million copies since its release.

I agree, Sam. she needs to leave Island Def Jam and get herself with a REAL record label. I'm thinking Columbia. I think she def def needs to take a break and get people talking about her. This just hit me...Join Taylor Swift's record label and do a duet with her...I guarantee that would go to #1 BECAUSE IT HAS BUZZ! she's in this slump, and I'm sure Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel remix isn't going to go anywhere.
....."Memoirs" could've been repackaged for the holiday$ with new, potential hits and would have sold well, because I still don't believe that music-lovers in our-heavily image based America is that much into Susan Boyle as we are made to beleive!
Her album "Memoirs" has not been doing well and here we go again with Island/Def Jam not being able to get their s*** together! She is still a chart topper and one would've thought that IDJ could've been the label that could've made history together! Her album is NOT even gold yet, which is pitiful! It makes one also wonder about the truth to that industry rumor about certain entertainment executives in Hollywood, NOT wanting Mariah or Madonna to finally top Elvis and/or The Beatles when it comes to the most#1's or most top ten singles in recorded music history!..Hmmm!.....or could it be that IDJ is still mad at Jermaine Dupri for it was more than likely that he would've the producer of the song for her to make history which sounds personal, over business becuase he produced some potential hits on the CD! i knew she would and will always come back she is the worlds best singer and song writer as well as a hell of a role model for any women and if u need a lift in your life and your a strong women listen to mariah and her lyrics she is full of love and the lord has blessed her amen
