Little RichardLittle Richard vows to make a strong return to the stage in 2010 after making it through hip surgery recently.

Just shy of turning 77 (Saturday), Richard spoke with press from his home near Nashville this week.

Discussing plans to work hard to complete his recovery, Richard says he'll be back to shouting 'Shut Up' and "rocking like the old days" next year.

Little Richard is known widely for hit songs like "Good Golly, Miss Molly," "Keep a Knockin" and "Tutti Frutti"

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame recognized performer is said to be recovering well.
