Nelly is back in the studio ! This time however, the "Country Grammar" star has his sights set on a number of collaborations.
In a departure from much of his discography, which includes hits like "E.I.," "Hot In Here," and "Flap Your Wings," Nelly says his next album will be loaded with a number of fellow rappers including Plies.
"I've been real fortunate where I have great people around me," Nelly told MTV recently. "Everybody wants to freakin' work with me — not that everybody didn't [before], but it's different because I didn't work with a lot of people. Coming into this situation, it's beautiful."
In addition to working with Plies, Nelly has also logged time with Diddy, Sean Paul, and Akon.
Nelly's as-yet-untitled follow up to 2008s "Brass Knuckles" is due in 2010.

HI Akon
"A departure?" "Didn't want to work with a lot people??" Not that anybody bought it to know any different, but his album 'Brass Knuckles' alone featured collabs with Rick Ross, T.I., LL Cool J, Nate Dogg, Snoop, Usher, and Keri Hilson just to name a FEW. That's only from the first 5 songs! Departure my a$$!
