SR Gospel: Mary Mary Wins 2009 American Music Award
Mary Mary won an American Music Award during Sunday's 37th annual celebration of music in Los Angeles.
Picking up an award for Favorite Contemporary Inspirational Artist, Mary Mary joins fellow award winners Beyonce, Michael Jackson and Taylor Swift.
As previously reported, winners for this year's American Music Awards were selected by fans via online voting at amavote.abc.com.
Mary Mary's win for Favorite Contemporary Inspirational Artist is their second win (2005). It also follows a phenomenal year for the duo both on the charts and on stage with their latest single "God In Me," not just charting in the top 20 on the Gospel charts but also on the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart.
