Rihanna 'Rated R' Springs A Leak, Does It Live Up To The Hype ?
Rihanna's long anticipated album "Rated R" sprung a leak late last week and has been making its rounds around the net. Despite the leak being bad news for the "Russian Roulette" singer, reviews of the effort have been quite solid.
Featuring thirteen songs, Rihanna's "Rated R" has thus far been called everything from "dark" to "different". Overwhelmingly fans seem to like the majority of the album with of course a few songs not earning such nice reviews.
One thing that most fans have agreed on thus far, is that Ne-Yo's statement that we would see an "angrier Rihanna" is true. Living up to its title, "Rated R" features Rihanna in completely different territory as edgier, gritty and at one point daring enough to say "I lick the gun when I’m done ‘cuz I know that revenge is sweet." While we're not advocating violence and taking the song seriously, you have to admit you never saw that coming from Rihanna.
With "Rated R" Rihanna seems to throw everything done in years past out the window. Songs like "Please Don't Stop The Music," "Shut Up and Drive" and "We Ride" are gone and simply replaced with records like "Hard," where she sings "tougher than a lion... Rihanna's reign just won't end" and "G4L" (Gangsta For Life) where she defiantly states "any motherf**kers want to disrespect, we don’t play that s***."
As previously reported, Rihanna's "Rated R" features work with Ne-Yo, Justin Timberlake, Chase & Status, Tricky Stewart, The Dream and Will.I.Am, among others.
"Rated R" hits stores and digital retailers November 23.

RIRI l luv this album so much especially the song Te Amo. This is the very best of all time girl.
Honestly..it sucked for me. Her worst ablum of all time. Loved her other works. But there are sum ok songs like the singles leaked b4 and two pthers..bout I doh like the cussin' and stuff...that just threw me off. She's becoming a disappointment to me and to the Caribbean. Bring back the old RIRI...

im a fan of ri ri but this cd was really disappointing. everyones making a big deal about her big "comeback" album but i could have done without this angry rihanna. stupid in love is the only song that stood out 4 me. won't waste my money on this cd

Yesss...I've heard the album and absolutely LOVE every song except "Fire Bomb" and "Photographs"...even tho "Te Amo" is one of my fav songs from the summer, it doesn't seem to fit the album, she could of left that one off, but "Cold Case Love" "The Last Song" "Rude Boy" "Hard" "Russian Roulette" "Wait Your Turn" "G4L" are all great..."Stupid In Love" is growing on me...but I love Rihanna and everything she does!
hmmmm this album is not all that..ive heard other songs like "slower to heal" that shouldve made it...only 3 stand out tracks for real are "coldCase" "photographs" n "wait your turn"..i think she was tryin so hard to be different that she became boring..my boo still fine as hell n dA FLYEST TRENDSETTER N DA GAME SOOO im buyin it regardles..
Only the songs Nick mentioned below made it to my ipod. LOVE Rudeboy - LOVE Te Amo - with dat Caribbean twang...DOPENESS. Those 2 are strong. G4L is so funny...that's real s**t there lol....the rest of the album is Meh. Wouldn't buy it. God no.
tHIS IS PROBABLY HER BEST ALBUM EVER!!!!!!!!!!. i LOVE IT. FIREBALL, RUDE BOY, ROCKSTAR 101, AND COLD CASE LOVE ARE THE BEST. SHE SHOWED OUT ON THIS CD. DIDNT EXPECT IT. SOOOOOO GOOOOOOD!!!!!!!
