Chris Brown Suffers Mental, Not Just Physical Troubles

Chris Brown When Chris Brown sat before a live audience on BET's 106 & Park he spoke directly to his fans for the first time. Letting fans in on his personal choices and fact that he was, at one point, afraid to be seen in public, Brown admitted to not only suffering physically but mentally.

"I'm really going through it. It's not just the physical labor [aspect of my punishment]; it's the mental labor," Brown told BET 106 & Park co-host Rocsi during an episode airing Thursday, November 12. "It's things that a 19-year-old or a 20-year-old has to deal with. It's not just the room saying, 'We don't like you'; it's the world. It kind of messes with a real person. I'm a real guy. I'm not a mannequin or a robot. I'm a real dude, so that hurts."

Just this week Brown was verbally attacked by a passerby who yelled the words "You f***ing beater....I hope someone beats the f***ing crap out of you".

While smiling and addressing fans, Brown appeared to ignore the woman, who had been captured on TMZ camera uttering the insults.

Addressing situations similar to the one earlier this week, Brown went on to tell 106 & Park viewers that he tried to hide for quite some time after the 'incident' with Rihanna.

"I didn't want people to really see me," he said. "I was nervous and embarrassed — just really standoffish. I don't think I would be human if I didn't feel sorry for myself. I do feel like it was a mistake I made, and I'm embarrassed with a mistake I made. It's something I have to live with, but it's something that I'm gonna change."

  3. T.A. Jones says:

Chris Breezy, try and take it easy.... You are still a young man, and the world does not hate you. You have made some bad decisions.... Who hasn't? "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone...." You will not see a single stone thrown. Give yourself some time, and until you are ready for what comes with a relationship, i.e., marriage, children, then please do not commit to anyone. You do not need to be boxed in at such a tender age. The world does love you. I love you! Keep you head up, Man! You are a Man, Mr. Brown, just still quite young. Take better care in the future that you know yourself better before getting too deeply involved. Peace Be Upon You....

I SAW WHAT TMZ CAPTURE A WOMAN USING FOUL LANGUAGE AT CHRIS AND I WAS PROUD OF HIM FOR NOT GIVING HER THE CHANCE TO MAKE ANOTHER HEADLINE FOR THE TABLOIDS. YOU KNOW THERE ARE PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD WHO WILL JUST BELIEVE EVERYTHING THEY READ OR MAKE ASSUMPTIONS ON WHAT THEY SEE. I'M PROUD OF CHRIS BROWN HE IS LETTING EVERYONE KNOW THAT WHAT HE DID WAS WRONG. I FEEL THAT LADY WHO TRIED TO HURT CHRIS WITH HER WORDS MAY HAVE VERY WELL GONE THROUGH A SIMILAR SITUATION. BUT AGAIN PEOPLE REALLY DON'T KNOW THE WHOLE TRUTH. I SUPPORT HIM WITH ALL MY HEART AND I WILL SEE HIM IN CONCERT IN NEW YORK. GOOD LUCK CHRIS BROOKLYN, NEW YORK LOVES YOU!

  5. jake says:

he will come out of this a stronger and wiser young man. wishing him the best in his future endeavors.

  6. bronx75 says:

We as a society place alot of pressure on these young stars without realizing the consequences to what our expectations are for that star. Chris is a young man and like any young man he will make mistakes and possibly learn from them. It is not beneficial for either him or anyone else to cast ill will towards him. I beleive we set this standard of men and woman divdided as we pick and choose our victims based on what we hear or see. When in fact in any conflict there are two sides to the story where both players are wrong and play the victim at some level. I have always been a supporter of Chris brown and will remain a supporter just as i am with rhianna. they are both young and have alot of learning to do when it comes to love and with that said i wish them both the best of luck in their careers and personal lives.
