Jovan Dais 50 Cent's "Baby By Me" is steadily climbing the charts and pushing the anticipated album "Before I Self Destruct" to the top of this week's iTunes Top 10.

Boasting two versions, "Baby By Me" came from not only a previous 50 Cent hit record but a line up of some of R&B's top male artists.

""Have a "Baby By Me" actually came from another of 50 Cent's singles called "I Get Money," so at the time I was in the studio working with Hot Sauce (Producer)," "Rhythm & Streets" singer Jovan Dais tells Singersroom.

Working with rising Atlanta based producer and Polow Da Don affiliate Hot Sauce, Dais says his now rising feature on the song was never intended to be heard outside the studio.

"50 Cent sung it first. He kind of talk sung it. They had Trey Songz try it. Jamie Foxx was going to do it. My version was just supposed to be for somebody else to sing it over. God apparently had a bigger plan for it. I got a call back from G-Unit saying we need your information; we want to keep you on the record and the only thing I could think was wow...that's really big for me, just because we've been independent from the get go," says Dais.

With the song quickly rising and the opportunity, as an independent artist, Dais says he hopes other independent and rising artists can be inspired to continue doing everything possible to obtain their goals.

"I'm still independent. You know being independent and on 50 Cent's first single is a big deal. I just want to show people it's all about what you want and the business you want to do," says Dais.

50 Cent's "Baby By Me," which has an accompanying video featuring Kelly Rowland, leads the G-Unit rapper's "Before I Self Destruct". Released digitally Monday, the official in store copy of the album can be found in record stores November 16.
