BeBe WinansBeBe Winans will not appear in forthcoming episodes of 'Oprah' as announced last month.

According to a spokesperson for the Winfrey, the "Close To You" singer will not be allowed to appear on her show until domestic violence charges filed against him are resolved.

Winans, who appeared with his sister CeCe to promote the recently released album "Still", was the subject of an online controversy stemming from Oprah's alleged banning of fellow entertainer Chris Brown.

According to Winans' ex-wife, who he allegedly pushed down during an altercation earlier this year, Oprah was wrong for allowing her husband to appear on her show and not an apologetic Chris Brown.

Speaking with TMZ, Debra Winans said she was "hurt by Oprah's decision to have Bebe on the show".

Oprah's spokesperson says Winans' taped segments, which involved a "karaoke challenge," will not air.

Winans is due in court on misdemeanor domestic assault charges January 20.

debra, stop trying to use the name "ex-wife" of bebe winans to further your career. as christians you shouldn't be talking to the world about your issues with your ex. i think you are just trying to ruin his name. remember, he was born a winans, you just married into the name.

Lord I am torn I am a strong believer that No man should hit a women we all know that yes. This Rihanna & Chris brown situation for some reason I just cant seem to have the same sympath for her as I would for another women in that same situation she is not as innocent as she would like to have people think. Only she and chris and God know the truth and just leave it like that. Bebe I didnt know until reading the posting but all we can do is pray for him and his family and let God do the rest

  3. Tanya says:

Im not saying that hitting women is right, but this whole thing on rihanna and chris is gone on long enough!!! First of all Chris in this have suffered all of everything and i know that she was punched, bit and everything else but she hit first and what aout her punishment. She got off easy not getting her hand hit and told don't do this no more but he went through a lot even after his apology he still getting hit... while she have not stop doing anything and even went back to him and just now pulled the plug on that because of her coach telling her that this is not good for the public!! a bunch of bull. how long do he have to suffer. All have sinned and come short and there is no greater sin!!

It is reported that Oprah is leaving Chicago my thoughts is it's about time . After all she has lost most of her black audience. After watching her for years I've seen Her reform from a personality to admire into an idol. I think that's partily because of greed thinking she is going to give us a car.

  5. Renae says:

When will this country wake up and get rid of this Oprah??? PEOPLE--she thinks she is God!! She is an egotistical narcissist! I am so sick of the media giving her so much attention and I feel sorry for the millions of people who "follow" this woman. To me, she is just one step away from being Jim Jones.

  6. Mzgoodbadgirl says:

but oprah still havent came out and did a show on bebe like she did chris brown. ok bebes not going to be on one show, whoopty do. oprah is still biased. condone one condone all and she dont do that.

  7. mccellar says:

It is double standard, that's why I very seldom watch Oprah.

  8. OK says:

Well she can't ban Chris brown and not Bebe - it don't make sense. Bebe deserves no special treatment. Don't hit women - problem solved.

  9. Charmaine says:

Lord, not Bebe! LOL. Anyway, Oprah is doing this to appeal to her white audience. She called MJ everything but a child of God on national tv without even researching the facts, which is not what the media presented. Damn, just because she was abused doesn't mean she has to go around pulling plugs!
