Alicia Keys Blames Album Delay On 'Amazing Songs'

Addressing concern over the release of her anticipated album "The Element of Freedom," Alicia Keys took to Twitter over the weekend.
Confirming a rumored change of release date, Alicia Keys said the ability to "create beautiful music" is behind the official delay.
"Luv having the freedom to create beautiful music, so I’m pushing the album back to DEC 15th,” Keys wrote on Twitter. "So many more amazing songs!!!"
Originally due for release December 1, Keys' "The Element of Freedom is now due in stores December 15.
Led by the single "Doesn't Mean Anything," "The Element of Freedom" follows the "Teenage Love Affair" and "No One" singer's Grammy Award winning "As I Am (2007)".

I watched the show last night. It is just ok. I hope this cd is good. Also, Mo said the cd can only be 10 songs, WHY? U want me 2 pay $15 for just 10songs? That aint cool! Make it 14songs @ least please.

good ima a alicia fan and that song she has as the first single is horrible she needs to get more songs if thats one of the best she has for the album i think she should try some fresh new writers we need some dramatics from ms alicia

No problem with pushing the album back. Alicia creates all of her songs herself, from the lyrics to the production, you name it. Take your time and release a fourth straight classic. She's one of the greatest in history and I have no qualms with her pushing the album back a little bit so that when it does release, it's EPIC once again. A minor pushback for years of classic material is cool with me.
