SR Gospel: Mary Mary Double Up With AMA Nominations
After inspiring many with the 2008 effort "The Sound," Mary Mary has come away with two American Music Award nominations in both Gospel and secular categories.
Earning their first nomination for Soul/Rhythm & Blues Music Favorite Band, Duo or Group, Mary Mary joins fellow nominees Day 26 and the Black Eyed Peas while also earning a nod for Favorite Contemporary Inspirational Artist.
As previously reported on Singersroom, the 37th Annual American Music Awards are due to take place November 22 in Los Angeles.
Airing live on ABC, this year's show will also feature performances from Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez and the Black Eyed Peas.
