R. Kelly has chosen to follow the Keri Hilson assisted single "Number One" with a more 'religious' offering.
Speaking of a woman who "rescues" him, on what is now being confirmed as his second single, Kelly sings "Something religious about you. There's something church about you. You made me better, this is forever".
While the song's title is "Religious" it is nothing like Kelly's "U Saved Me," released during what proved to be a turbulent time for the singer/songwriter and producer.
In fact, the track comes off as a strong ballad celebrating a woman who brings a man back from the most desolate of places.
At one point Kelly sings "Out of the streets you rescued me. You're my miracle.. There is no other. Baby you remind me of my mother".
Sources say the new single will lead Kelly's forthcoming album "Untitled".
Originally due in stores this month, "Untitled" is now slated for release in December.
