The Los Angeles Police Department is close to presenting its case against embattled Dr. Conrad Murray. Sources say Murray, who still remains the sole target of the ongoing investigation into late entertainer Michael Jackson’s death, could be facing charges or a Grand Jury as early as next week. While it is unknown if other doctors will be charged in relation to Jackson’s usage of drugs including Propofol at a later date, sources believe all evidence has been compiled with the final decision weighing on the L.A. County D.A.’s office. “They were waiting on some written evaluations by medical professionals who reviewed the evidence surrounding Michael Jackson’s death. Our law enforcement sources say the medical reports are in and the LAPD plans to formally present the case to the D.A. next week,” reports TMZ. News of the investigation coming to a close comes just weeks before the premiere of ‘This Is It’. Arriving in theaters October 28, the film documents rehearsals and plans for what would have been a 50 concert set at London’s O2 Arena, beginning in July. Jackson died just days before the shows were to kick off.
