Mariah Carey Nears 'Love Is' Debut, Oprah Interview

Mariah Carey is gearing up for a busy week that includes the release of "I Want To Know What Love Is;" an interview and performance on 'Oprah'; and two shows in Las Vegas.

Touching down in Las Vegas Friday, Carey is set to perform at the Pearl Theater at the Palms.

As previously reported, the "Obsessed" diva will grace the stage both Friday and Saturday, and later return in October for another two show stint.

Vegas aside, most are anticipating the radio debut of Carey's official single "I Want To Know What Love Is".

Billed as the lead single from "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel," "I Want To Know What Love Is" debuts at radio Monday, September 14 to be followed by an iTunes release and album pre-order September 15.

Carey's debut of "I Want To Know What Love Is" will then be followed with an anticipated appearance on Oprah.

Both performing and sitting down with the NAACP Image Award winner, Carey is expected to shed light on the new album and what the future holds for her.

Carey's appearance on 'Oprah' airs Friday, September 18.
