Amy WinehouseTeaming up with 'The Specials,' Amy Winehouse made a strong and unexpected comeback at this weekend's V Festival in Chelmsford, England.

Rained out of her first show in the Caribbean earlier this year, sources say Winehouse was well received at the anticipated V Festival, where she also performed with Peter Doherty.

Sources close to Contact Music say the embattled singer was backstage when she met the ska legends (The Specials), who made her dreams come true by inviting her to perform alongside them.

Waving happily to fans and grabbing the mic for "You're Wondering Now," Winehouse remained on stage with 'The Specials' through the end of their set..

According to fans in attendance, Winehouse thanked The Specials, who recently reformed after splitting in 1981, telling the crowd to applaud for the group.

She later appeared with Peter Doherty, scrambling on-stage to give Doherty a few words, before pulling him in for a kiss on the lips.

At press time there was no word as to whether or not Winehouse is close to completing an anticipated follow up to the Grammy-winning album "Back To Black".

Additionally, she is by far NOT the first artist to repeatedly be drunk and high in concert, so I don't see why that is headline news worthy as well! Even with one of the industry's most talented and funkiest bands behind her, the Dap-Kings, she still can't put on a decent live show even when sober, so folks save your hard-earned recession-proned money! Her rivals Adele and Duffy are better vocally and more relaible! With her antics and all or the aformentioned lack there of, she will NOT be mentioned in a few years alongside Annie Lennox, Micheal McDonald, Lisa Stansfield, Daryl Hall, and most notably Teena Marie and Dusty Springfield as ONE of the greatest blue-eyed soul singers so folks lets keep it movin' and hope that mainstream media will move on with us as well!

I "somewhat" agree with Shawakatina below as to why the media is continousely fascinated with her in general! Her last effort was an OK recording with its throughback sound, but she wasn't merging anything NEW with it! During its chart reign, I listened to it over and over to see why the media and journalists kept giving her and her music high accolades for they must've been blinded by her beehive or either getting high with her! Jay-Z has even admitted to being a fan of hers in many of his interviews??? Take away the throughback hairstyle and the awful wardrobe and you STILL don't have much, for she is NOT attractive even with heavy make-up on the red carpet as compared to other divas! *She MUST have a high-powered publicity and management team behind her to keep getting repeated headlines on E!, Entertainment Tonight, The Insider, TMZ, etc. and several other networks for they act like they'd never heard a white-female record descent R&B music before! Continued....

  3. Shawakatima says:

Why do we care so much about messy white girls? I am so ready to consider her last musical effort her last and move on from this low-life of a human. Can someone get Billy Idol to sing "Eyes Without a Face" to this heiffer? She is one creature that could not kiss me - even I aint that freaky, but the rest of you can give it to mama.
