Omarion has much respect for Lil Wayne but, had to make a decision he felt was better for his career.
"I have a
lot of respect and admiration for the genius of Lil ‘Wayne and the
entire Young Money family. I asked to be released from the label to
pursue other opportunities that were recently presented to me. Because
of our relationship, Lil’ Wayne had no issue with us ending our business relationship and released me from the label," Omarion wrote in a statement released on Marques Houston's blog Thursday.
News of Omarion parting ways with Lil Wayne's Young Money label broke Thursday with a myriad of Twitter postings from Young Money President Mack Maine to Young Money artist Jae Millz.
Contrary to their Twitter posts, Omarion claims he left on his own accord and will be making an announcement about his future soon.
"Lil’ Wayne
and I have nothing but love for each other, there is no Beef. I also
wanted to make it clear that my company nor did I, leak the song, ‘I
Get It In’ and I want to dispel any rumors that have surfaced. I
appreciate my relationship with Young Money/ Cash
Money and look forward to doing business in the future. There will be a
major announcement regarding my career and my new album, ‘Ollusion’
coming next week. Stay tuned…"
Omarion's last solo effort, 2006s "21" was released under Epic/Sony, later followed by a compilation effort with Bow Wow titled "Face Off" in 2007.

I agree with lilskeeter007 below, but his last label Columbia had issues that seemed to be gender based so he did right NOT to stay with them as well! Considering Maxwell's current chart stamina, They(Columbia) have since gotten over this issue! O's deal with Timbo's label didn't go over either, even though they work well together! Hopefully, someone will sign him like real soon! Omarion is one of those rare young brothas who knows how to check his own ego and stay semi-grouned while still being one of music's best performers, so hopefully something will happen soon!
"I get it in" is a hot lil track. I dont care who leaked it. I am just glad they did. Omarion needed something out before his ass was placed on a milk box or something. I hope his next move is major. He need a song out like yesterday. We dont pay attention for that long & he almost on the use to be fly list
Omarion as a black oompa loompa or munchkin would be awesome. I'd let that little thing crawl under skirt/jock strap anytime. Now give me some sugar if you're freaky. Give it to mama!
