Mario Mario's summer anthem "Break Up" struck no. 1 on the Urban Mainstream chart this week.

The lead single from Mario's soon-to-be released album "D.N.A.," is also riding high on BET's 106 & Park countdown.

While "Break Up" is a record that even Mario calls "different" and perhaps unexpected, his forthcoming album "D.N.A." is not.

Described as a collection of songs that characterizes the make up of the now 22 year old Baltimore native’s life, D.N.A. resonates with topics of love, relationships, and heartbreak; replete with a versatile yet distinctive Mario sound that critics and fans have grown to adore.

In addition to Sean Garrett, Mario's DNA features production from Bangladesh, Jim Jonsin, Tricky Stewart & The Dream, Babyface, Stargate, LOS Da Mystro, Rico Love, Harold Lilly & Elvis Williams, The Runners, Eric Hudson, KP and Malay.

"D.N.A." is slated for release October 13.
